As requested by many Roland E-X50 and E-X30 users, we have produced popular styles from Sulawesi, including North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Poso. These styles are suitable for use at events and ceremonies.
The Sulawesi Styles included are as follows:
Kolintang: Kolintang is a traditional musical instrument typical of Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Kolintang music functioned more as dance accompaniment, song accompaniment, or musical performances. Kolintang is made of special wood which is light but quite dense and then arranged to form parallel lines. This instrument is played by being beaten with a mallet.
Dangdut Bugis: Gambus music is one of the traditional music in South Sulawesi. Having a major influence from popular music, one of which is dangdut. Dangdut Bugis is pop music in collaboration with gendang/ketipung.
Musik Bambu: Bambu Music is a traditional art typical of Minahasa, North Sulawesi. At first, wind bamboo music was known to the people in North Sulawesi around the 18th century through the existence of Zending schools founded by westerners. This music developed because there are many bamboo trees in Minahasa.
Bamboo music is used at many events and ceremonies.
Pakacaping: Pakacaping traditional music found in the Makassar ethnic community in South Sulawesi province. According to history, Pakacaping was created by a Bugis Makassar sailor who had been sailing on the high seas for days.
Gambus Bugis: Gambus music is one of the traditional music in South Sulawesi. Gambus is a stringed instrument like a mandolin which is played solo or in groups. Usually played at Islamic events.
Dero Poso: Dero Poso rhythm music is a rhythm taken from the Dero Poso dance originating from Poso, Central Sulawesi.This dance symbolizes joy, gratitude for agricultural products. Dero dance is usually accompanied by traditional music, namely Nggongi and Ganda.
