Interview with Sun Rai

Sun Rai

Sun Rai (aka Rai Thistlethwayte) is a very, very busy man.

Currently based in L.A, he has embarked on US and Canadian tour with Bernhoft throughout June 2013, with his first, much anticipated EP as Sun Rai, “Pocket Music” released on the 4th of June, 2013.

In addition to recording his new EP, Rai has been working with some of L.A’s most talented writers and producers to pen song for other upcoming musical acts.  Sun Rai has also become a fixture in L.A’s local live music circuits holding residencies at some of L.A’s hottest venues including The Piano Bar and Bardot.

He still flies back to his home country on regular basis for shows and workshops.  Roland were lucky enough to catch up with him whilst he was in the country and have a chat about looping live with the Boss VE-5 Vocal Processor, his new online strategies and all things music.
